Flying Bursary 2012
Flying Bursary 2012 Applications are now LIVE!
These annual awards are intended to give our already budding pilots the opportunity to push themselves further – so why not apply and give that tail-wheel rating a shot, or pick up some advanced flying skills with some aerobatics?
Please read all the conditions before applying via the link at the bottom of this post!
Conditions
- Each bursary comprises a fixed sum of money, sufficient to cover between 3-5 hours flying training in single-engine piston (SEP) aeroplanes.
- The bursaries are intended to help Air League members who hold a valid pilot’s licence to gain additional flying qualifications or to renew a rating in their licence.
- Applicants must:
- be permanently resident in the UK;
- hold a current pilot’s licence issued by the CAA, which includes a valid SEP (Land) aircraft rating and valid medical certification; and
- be a member of The Air League (or be applying to be a member at the time of application for the bursary).
Selection Procedure
- Only applications received by 24 February 2012 will be considered.
- Awards are made after consideration of the information given in the application form and confirmed by the enclosures.
- There is no interview and the decision of the Selection Board is final.

- A completed application form should reach the Secretary as soon as possible but not later than the closing date of Friday, 24 February 2012.
- Copies of relevant documents, specified in the application form, must be enclosed.
