Conditions
- The awards offer the opportunity for solo glider pilots or Air Cadets who have reached Gold Wings standard to gain gliding experience and qualifications with cross-country gliding, aerobatic gliding or SLMG flying at civilian gliding schools.
- Applicants must be permanently resident in the UK and have reached their 16th but not their 26th birthday on 1 April 2012 with relevant gliding experience for the activity being applied for.
- Applicants must be a member of The Air League (or be applying to be a member at the time of application for the scholarship).
Selection Procedure
- Only applications received by 24 February 2012 will be considered.
- Awards will be made after consideration of the information provided by applicants.
- The decision of the Selection Board concerning awards is final.
Application
- An application form, completed electronically, should reach the Secretary of the Trust as soon as possible but not later than the closing date of Friday, 24 February 2012.
- Scholarship winners will be notified by May 2012 and their names published in the aviation press, announced on the League’s website and in The Air League Newsletter.
