The Air League is a sector leading charity focused on changing lives through aviation and inspiring young people in particular, to develop a career interest in aviation and aerospace. The charity offers a number of flying schemes to beneficiaries who also include disabled people, armed forces veterans with disabilities and now veteran offenders. Each year, hundreds of people from around the UK, typically from disadvantaged communities, benefit from Air League support, which helps them learn about aviation and aerospace and start a career. The Air League’s unique approach is designed to help those who want to become, civil or military pilots, astronauts, engineers, technicians, cabin crew, air traffic controllers and myriad other disciplines within aviation and aerospace. The inspiration, experience and practical training elements of the Air League’s work develops employability skills, builds self esteem and well being, and makes our beneficiaries valued and realise what they can achieve.
